About Rachael.
Hailing from Hampshire, UK, Rachael Saunders is an illustrator with a passion for storytelling and character design. Her distinctive and colourful work spans the worlds of children’s literature, animation, editorial and packaging.
Rachael graduated from Falmouth University, Cornwall, in 2014 with a first class degree in illustration. Since then, she has gained a huge breadth of experience working within the design industry.
She draws inspiration from mid-century graphic design, the illustration masters Mary Blair and Miroslav Sasek and from traveling around the world.
Since 2022 Rachael has also been an in-house illustrator for the US-based production company Echo Tango. In this role she works on a variety of projects, from concept design, storyboarding and the creation of final artwork ready for animation.
